Aces: Claims, Intimations

Module Name Problem / Issue Reported SOLUTION No.
CLI 8.               Under CLI module , when the applications received by AC/DC for permission for ‘removal of goods for job work’  were processed, it did not provide  any option to  AC/DC to approve it and  instead  only ‘forward’ option  was available.    When forwarded, these applications were sent to Addl. Commissioner who is  not the proper officer for granting this permission. The power to grant such permission lies with Divisional AC/DC under Rule 4(6) of Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004. Presently the application  can be approved by Commissioner only and he cannot even send back the application seeking clarification/details on the application filed. As per the minutes of the meeting held on 10.2.2010 , action was  to be initiated by DG, Systems.  This error is yet to be rectified. 1042
CLI DGS Comments: The software is based on the SRS which is based on the then existing procedure. Now that the procedure is changed under law, revised requirements are put up and under consideration by Headquarters.  1042
